✦ Problem
The 23-year-old platform, acquired by Enthusiast Gaming in 2019, had outdated workflows and inconsistent user experiences. The challenge was modernizing the site to improve VIP sign-ups and engagement, without disrupting the existing community.
✦ Outcome
From April 2021 to December 2023, I worked with The Sims Resource team to modernize the platform, improving responsiveness and enhancing the user experience for both free and VIP users.
Key Improvements:
Streamlined VIP signups, improved ad placements, and optimized mobile usability. These updates led to increased user engagement, higher satisfaction, and strengthened internal collaboration.
Impact:
Contributed to a 300% increase (+$600,000) in monthly revenue through key redesigns, including VIP sign-ups, navigation, and ad placements. These updates bolstered the platform’s appeal and supported valuable partnerships with Sony Pictures, Amazon, and EA Games.

Goal: Simplify the VIP signup flow for a smoother, more accessible user experience, particularly for mobile users.
Role: Designed and implemented a mobile-first signup flow that also adapted well to desktop. Focused on optimizing the experience under tight time constraints.
Challenges: The challenge was to design a mobile-friendly flow that wouldn’t sacrifice the desktop experience. Balancing simplicity with the necessary user information was key, especially with limited time for development.
Outcome: By taking a mobile-first approach, the flow was streamlined for mobile users and adapted seamlessly for desktop. The simplified process led to reduced signup drop-off, especially on mobile, and improved overall user engagement.
Goal: Streamline the content submission process to enable artists to easily upload their work and simplify the approval process for staff.
Role: Led the redesign of the submission flow to make it more intuitive and user-friendly for artists and staff alike. Worked with the development team to ensure smooth functionality.
Challenges: Balancing the ease of use for artists with the need for clear submission guidelines and the approval workflow for staff. The challenge was ensuring that the process was both simple and efficient, without sacrificing necessary steps.
Outcome: The redesigned submission process significantly reduced submission errors, leading to faster approval times for staff. Artists reported a smoother, more intuitive experience, resulting in an increase in submissions and overall content quality.
